US Navy select new generation Marine Evacuation System Marin Ark for their Sisler Vessel

The US Navy have placed another order for the new Marine Evacuation System (MES) the Marin Ark.  This will be for their Sisler Vessel.  The Sisler is a noncombatant ship and is one of 19 large, medium-speed, roll-on/roll-off ships. 

The large ship (Length: 950 feet; Beam: 106 feet) is ideal for the loading, transporting and unloading of large, heavy combat equipment and supplies and since September 2001 it has made 4 trips to the Middle East, carrying around 879,285 square feet of cargo in support of the global war on terrorism.

The Sisler will be equipped with 2 x Marin Ark 150 and 2 x exchange service units.
