We are pleased to announce that we have sold our first ever Marin Ark 632 New Generation Marine Evacuation System (MES) to Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL), for installation on the Norwegian Epic, currently under construction in France by SGX Europe.
The Norwegian Epic, the only one of its kind, is expected to make its debut in May 2010. NCL were very impressed by the latest technological advancements that have been made in the Marin Ark 632 New Generation MES system, which complements the new 150,000-ton 4,200-passenger Cruise Liner, the largest and most innovative new design ever built by them. The ship will usher in some of the most revolutionary new concepts in cruise travel.
Commenting on the achievement Doug Baxter, Survitec Group CEO, said: “This is the first contract that we have secured in the Norwegian MES marketplace. We have received a lot of interest in the new system, and I am delighted that the cruise lines are recognising that our MES systems are at the forefront of survival technology. There is only one choice that can be made when considering the safety of passengers, to choose our New Generation Marin Ark MES system.”
